"Steps to Success" Scholarship & Vocational or Technical Scholarship

 

Five $500 scholarships will be given:  Four to an applicant admitted to a state accredited college and one to a state accredited vocational & technical program.

Applications must be postmarked by May 1 to be considered.

Next Generation Hoosier Educators Scholarship

Next Generation Hoosier Educators Scholarship, which provides up to $30,000 in financial aid to aspiring teachers.  Top-performing high school and college students who are planning to teach in the State of Indiana for at least five years can receive up to $7,500 per year of college.  Interested students are encouraged to act quickly as there are only 200 scholarships available. 

Students should apply by Jan. 31, 2023, at ScholarTrack.IN.gov

To qualify for the scholarship, students must meet one of the following academic requirements:

  • Rank in the top 20% of their high school graduating class

  • Have a top 20th percentile score on the ACT (26) or SAT (1130)

  • Have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale

The Commission will review all applications and notify applicants of their scholarship status via email by March 24, 2023.

Lutheran Foundation Scholarship

The Lutheran Foundation (TLF) is encouraging northeast Indiana students who are pursuing careers in the healthcare field to submit an application for one of its Health Professions & Nursing Scholarships. In 2022, TLF awarded 43 scholarships totaling nearly $78,000!

 

TLF has scholarships (starting at $1,000) to award to students pursuing degrees in nursing or other healthcare professions. This is a broad category that encompasses a variety of undergraduate and graduate healthcare degrees, such as:

  • Nursing

  • Medicine

  • Dentistry

  • Mental health

  • Lab tech

  • Physical/Occupational therapy

  • And more!

Applicants must be a resident of northeast Indiana and must attend a qualifying school in northeast Indiana. The applicants do not have to be Lutheran!

Lawrence A. Ackerman Scholarship

Lawrence A. Ackerman Scholarship

 

The Fort Wayne zoological Society is accepting applications for the Lawrence A. Ackerman Scholarship, which bestows a one-time $2,000 award to a college-bound high school senior pursuing an animal-related career.

Horatio Alger Scholarship

Horatio Alger Scholarships

 

High School Juniors are invited to apply for a Horatio Alger Scholarship.  The scholarships are given to deserving students each year and range in award value from $10,000 to $25,000.

Eligibility criteria include:

  • High School Junior

  • Financial need ($55,000 or lower adjusted gross family income)

  • United States citizenship

 

Students may apply online December 1 - March 15 at scholars.horatioalger.org
