
Below are some recent successes here at Southern Wells!
*The Southern Wells Archery Team #2 qualified for this year’s Indiana State Archery Tournament on Saturday, March 8th at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. The students that will participate are Ethan Swartz, Kaden Boxell, Elise Schneider, Owen Boxell, Blakely Schortgen, Tyler Nichols, LJ Carter, Brayden Williams, Jacob Miller, Leland Heath, Rylan Leas, Gwyn Howell, Ryker Engle, Lane McClure, Ellie Nichols, Alaina Edmonds, John Schneider, and Trinity McClelland. Team #1 had Harper Gearheart with a qualifying score and will go on to the State level with Team #2. Great job students!
*Kaylee Davis ' poem “Love” was entered in the Apelley Publishing National Student Poetry Contest.
*Keith Gartin is one of 16 finalists moving on to the National Machining League Championship this spring for Project MFG.
*Tyler Grover was selected to the Indiana All-State Academic Bowling Team. He will bowl March 8th in Kokomo.
*Jarin Frauhiger was the ACAC Champion for wrestling at 132!
*Ashlie Needler was named 1st team All ACAC girls basketball for this year! Collena Reeves was named 2nd team and Kaylee Davis earned honorable mention. The team had a record of 16-8 this year! Great job, girls!

It was neat watching Mrs. Roush teach the basic foundations of reading, writing, and spelling (literacy) to our Kindergartners today! Great patience and strategy exhibited in teaching these important fundamentals of learning!


Neat to see a former student of mine, Jacob Werst, teaching on how to draw blood in Mrs. Howell's Principles of Healthcare class today. Mr. Werst works with East Central Indiana Area Health Education Center to help small schools increase the number of healthcare professionals


Neat shoe collaboration project starting today in 7th grade art by Ms. Scott! So cool!
