Another impressive Related Arts Night at SW Elementary last Thursday! Well done related arts team and the students who did the art and performed!


Thank you Parents In Education (PIE) for the Dads and Doughnuts event this morning!
Also, thank you to all the dads that made it to the event! It was great to see all the dads at school enjoying breakfast with their kids!

Neat banquet last night honoring our National Honor Society members! It was very meaningful hearing the letters of appreciation that the students wrote to people that have made an impact in their lives!


It was so much fun reading 2nd grade stories about their best day ever today in Ms. Stanley''s class! Even neater is that these stories will be published like the one shown in the picture! So cool!


Mrs. Powell teaching a lesson about the history and origin of nursery rhymes to her Child Development class! Very interesting!

Neat event at SW last night sponsored and ran by PIE (Parents In Education)! We had rope jumpers, hula hoopers, some serious dodgeball, along with food and drink! Thank you PIE for the event and all that you do to help make SW great!

Spring Book Fair is right around the corner in the elementary . If you do not want to send money in with your child, you can use the book fair eWallet.
Book Fair will be open April 9-12 during the school day. We will have early and late hours on April 10 and late hours on April 11.

Enjoyed celebrating the induction of Liberty Center's, Dick Harris, to the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame this week! What a great honor! Congratulations!

Mrs. Bradley leading a lively discussion with her 6th graders today about how our society handles lawbreakers! Interesting viewpoints!


Mrs. Ulfig, our corp wide librarian, reading and teaching literary concepts on Dr. Seuss books to 3rd graders! Also teaching about the Dewey Decimal System and setting up a March Madness bracket on which Dr. Seuss book gets the most votes! Making learning and reading fun!


As winter sports come to an end, it makes me think of all of our coaches and all ECA sponsors who spend many hours outside of regular school hours to work with our students! Your commitment and hard work to help further develop and make an impact on our students in this way is much appreciated! Good luck to the JH wrestling team tonight for the ACAC tournament! Good luck to our Archery Team that will be competing in the state tournament this Saturday!


Guitar projects are coming along! Mr. Hunt does a great job with design and development with students! Thank you to the Don Wood Foundation for the funding to provide new machines, upgraded flooring, tabletops, and other enhancements to the lab area!

Solid lesson today over fractions, data tables, and line plots in Ms. Denny's class! Needed knowledge and skill development for these 3rd graders!


The Raider Dome was rocking today during the Pep Rally! Go Raiders!

Enjoyed several 6th grade wax museum groups sharing about historical people! Here is one of the groups! Well done 6th graders!

It is always fun and interesting eating lunch with 2nd graders! Today, I got to witness the self named "MiniMe Recipes" crew making recipes from leftover lunch food! Very creative!
